Importance of early reading

Learning to read early has multiple benefits. A child develops rapidly in the early years and learning to read could spark a young mind’s curiosity, creativity, and there are obvious benefits in education. The ability to read at an early age also improves self confidence in the child which they can hone further through other activities. If the child can read then they will be able to process things a lot quicker from a young age.
Learning to read early can develop general knowledge and interest in various areas. The child may become an avid reader and this will improve vocabulary and further improve their literacy development. Reading will improve their writing skills and communication skills. The child will be able to comprehend the use of a same word in different contexts.
Some children face reading challenges due to a variety of reasons. Dyslexia and other Learning Difficulties lead to decoding and reading challenges in children.
A systematic Phonics based reading program is best suited to improve reading fluency in children with Dyslexia.
